Stephanie Redd - Owner
Stephanie is so very excited to start Season 10! For years, Stephanie has been deeply involved in competitive dance as a student, instructor, and supervisor, managing the business side of dance studios. Since 2003, she has worked in various dance studios across the KC Metro area, teaching all styles of dance to students ranging from children to young adults.
In 2008, Stephanie joined the staff at Benedictine College as the Head Dance Coach of the Raven Dance Team, guiding them to the Dance Championship of the Heart of America Athletic Conference for 6 out of 7 years. She led her team to the National Dance Association College Nationals each year, earning top national honors. Alongside coaching, Stephanie served as an Adjunct Professor for the Benedictine College Theater and Dance Department, teaching courses such as Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Hip Hop.
Stephanie also played a pivotal role in founding The Raven School of Dance on the Benedictine College campus, providing the Atchison community's children with a place to learn and share in the passion of dance. As the Adviser/Director, she managed the school, making it the most successful dance school on a college campus.
Her experience with dance pedagogy is demonstrated by the level of expertise she has imparted to the young adults selected to teach within the studio. Stephanie's passion for dance is magnified at every level, and she continues to share this within her own studio, Artistry in Motion Dance Company (AIMDC).
Miss Stephanie is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) since 2020, bringing a new dimension to the program by helping dancers and gymnasts develop muscle memory, core stability, weight placement, and alignment. She has also completed her certification with ADTA, the Acro Dance Teachers Association, achieving consistent results with AIMDC's acro dance students and improving technique across all genres.
Additionally, AIMDC is certified in Youth Protection Advocates in Dance (YPAD), equipping studio professionals with the skills and resources to protect and nurture healthy, happy dancers. This certification allows AIMDC to create an environment focused on the well-being of students and a sustainable, safe future for dance.
As AIMDC enters its tenth year, Stephanie takes immense pride in the studio's success both on and off the competition floor, fostering a culture of excellence and personal growth among her students. She is committed to continuing to inspire and nurture artists of all ages, ensuring that the joy dance has brought to her life is shared with every dancer who walks through her doors.
