Stephanie Redd - Owner
Stephanie Redd is honored to step into Season 11 of AIMDC — a milestone shaped by dedication, dreams, and the incredible students and families who bring this studio to life. With a heart rooted in the art of dance and the soul of an educator, Stephanie has spent her life inspiring young artists to move with purpose, confidence, and joy.
Her dance journey began in studios across the Kansas City Metro, where she trained and taught in all styles, igniting a love for both the stage and the classroom. Stephanie continued her training at Northwest Missouri State University, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Dance, combining her passion for teaching and movement into a lifelong calling.
After college, she chased the spotlight to Branson, performing in live productions before setting sail as a dancer aboard a Carnival Cruise Line — an unforgettable season that deepened her love for performance and professional showmanship.
In 2008, she accepted the role of Head Dance Coach at Benedictine College, where she led the Raven Dance Teamto six Heart of America Conference Championships in just seven years. Under her direction, the team earned national honors at NDA College Nationals annually, a testament to her visionary leadership and elite-level coaching. She also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Theater and Dance Department, teaching Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Hip Hop to aspiring performers.
Stephanie’s impact didn’t stop there — she launched The Raven School of Dance on the Benedictine campus, building one of the most successful college-based youth dance programs in the country and bringing the gift of dance to children in the Atchison community.
With all this experience, she knew it was time to create something uniquely her own — and Artistry in Motion Dance Company was born. In the 10 years since AIMDC opened its doors, Stephanie has built more than just a studio — she’s built a legacy. Under her leadership, AIMDC has earned countless competition accolades at the regional and national level, with her students known for their technique, performance quality, and heart. Her choreographic eye and ability to bring out the best in every dancer have made AIMDC a standout name in the competitive dance world.
Stephanie also serves as a respected adjudicator for local dance competitions, high school teams, and collegiate auditions, offering her expertise to shape the next generation of performers across the Midwest.
Certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and the Acro Dance Teachers Association (ADTA), she prioritizes proper training and injury prevention in all genres. AIMDC is also a YPAD (Youth Protection Advocates in Dance)certified studio, ensuring every dancer thrives in a healthy, safe, and empowering space.
As AIMDC celebrates its 11th season, Stephanie reflects not only on awards and milestones — but on the everyday moments that make this work so meaningful: the progress, the breakthroughs, the hugs, the rehearsals, and the joy.
“Without dance, my life would be empty. The joy dance has brought to my life is the same joy I hope to pass on to every artist who walks through our doors.” – Stephanie Redd
