Stephanie Redd - Owner/Dance Instructor
For years Stephanie Redd has been personally involved in competitive dance as a student, instructor and as a supervisor managing the business side of dance studios. Stephanie has worked in local area dance studios in the KC Metro area since 2003, teaching all styles of dance to students ranging from children to young adults. In 2008 Stephanie joined the staff at Benedictine College and served as the Head Dance Coach of the Raven Dance Team. She guided her team to the Dance Championship of the Heart of America Athletic Conference for 6 out of 7 years. She took her team to the National Dance Association College Nationals each year and brought home top national honors. As part of her dance career, Stephanie also was an Adjunct Professor for the Benedictine College Theater and Dance Department. She taught several dance courses like Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Hip Hop, just to name a few. She has also studied wellness injury prevention to help aid in the healthy development of young dancers, along with positive movement conditioning for appropriate ages. Stephanie also helped start a dance school on the Benedictine College campus called, The Raven School of Dance, where the children of the Atchison community can come and learn dance and enjoy in the passion of the art. Stephanie served as the Adviser/Director of the Raven School of Dance and managed the business to be the most successful dance school on a college campus. Her experience with dance pedagogy (the art of teaching dance) is demonstrated by the level of expertise that she has taught to the young adults that are selected to teach within the studio. Stephanie has a passion for dance that is magnified on all levels of life, and she is ready to continue to share this within her own studio. Miss. Stephanie is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique since 2020. To bring a whole new life to our program to get bring the muscle memory to our dancers and gymnast. PBT will advance all of our students in core stability, weight placement and alignment AIMDC is also a studio that is certified in Youth Protection Advocates in Dance(YPAD). YPAD will provide the studio professionals with the skills and resources to protect and develop healthy, happy dancers. AIMDC will be able to construct an environment focused on the well-being of kids and a sustainable safe future for dance.

Kateri Brown - Dance Instructor and Dance Competition Team Director
All the way from Gilbert, Arizona. Kateri has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Benedictine College. She also has her Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas. Kateri has been dancing since the age of 2 ½ and has not stopped twinkling her toes since. She danced at Tempe Dance Academy in Gilbert, Arizona for 14 years and was on her high school dance company as well. Kateri has danced at numerous dance competitions around the country and won various awards and trophies. She has also danced with the Russian ballet, performing in the Nutcracker. Kateri was a 4-year veteran member of The Raven Dance Team at Benedictine College, and was an instructor for the Raven School of Dance, a community dance school on the Benedictine College campus. She always brings passion to what she loves, and she loves the art of dance. Kateri instructs the upper level jazz classes, contemporary, and hip-hop students at AIMDC. She also joins Stephanie in teaching the competitive dance team at AIMDC.

Kristy Humbard- Gymnastics Instructor and NAC Competition Team Director
Kristy has been in the world of Gymnastics since the age of 5. She has tumbled in all around gymnastics apparatuses with Go for the Gold and Mercury Gymnastics, and was proficient at a Level 6 gymnast. She has 22 years of tumbling teaching experience to all age groups and all levels. She was the Head Coach for the tumble program for Danz-n Studio One and Beatnik's Dance and Tumble. In her years with Danz-n Studio One, she served as Co-Founder of the NITC Gymnastics Meet, (National Invitational Tumbling Competition), several years of judging gymnastics, and also served as the head coach for the competitive gymnastics team at DSO. Kristy has made a huge impact at AIMDC in year one, and ready to take the program to a whole new level. She strives to grow young adults to the level of gymnast they choose to be.

Mary Foster -Dance Instructor
Mary is thrilled to be starting her 5th year as an instructor at AIMDC! She holds a Bachelor of Education degree in secondary mathematics and a minor degree in dance from Central Missouri State University( now UCM) and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Baker University. Mary danced with the CMSU dance company, choreographed and performed in amateur dinner theatre productions, choreographed and performed in Liturgical dance, competed on a dance-twirl team, cheered as a varsity cheerleader in high school, coached the Oak Park High school cheerleaders, and judged dance competitions. She has taught tap, jazz, ballet, modern, and country line dance. She is blessed to be happily married for 25 years to Eric. They have two children. Christina(AIMDC alum) who graduated magna cum laude from UCM December 2020 with a BFA in Studio Art and a minor in Theatre lives in Colorado and Ian who is a junior majoring in mechanical engineering attends MU.

Sara Stoner -
Pre- School Dance Instructor
Sara has found the dance world once again! Sara comes to the AIMDC family with many years of dance experience under her belt. After taking a break from the dance industry to start her family, we at AIMDC welcome her back into the dance family with open arms. Sara had the pleasure of growing up dancing in the same hometown studio as Miss. Stephanie. Proficient in the world of ballet and pointe, Sara also took classes in tap, jazz and lyrical. A late start to dance at the age of 9, Sara’s natural talent and love for the art only grew through the years of her childhood. Sara had the pleasure of dancing at the Dixie Stampede show in Branson, MO along with the Lawrence Welk show when it was still up and running in the Welk Theatre. She will join the AIMDC family to help with the elementary age dancers to continue to learn and grow their love for dance.

Chelsea Welch - Dance Instructor specializing in Tap
Chelsea comes to us from Overland Park, KS!! She was born and raised in St. Louis and studied dance at DeNoyer Dance. After high school she attended Benedictine College and graduated with a Business degree in 2015. While at BC she was a member of the HAAC Championship dance team and taught at the dance school on campus, Raven School of Dance. After taking a break and moving back to the KC are from Nebraska, Chelsea is ready to take on the younger elementary age students to impact them with her talents.

Gracie Tinder - Dance Instructor
Gracie began dancing at the age of 3 years old in Platte City, MO at Danz-n Studio One, under the direction of Nancy Thomas. In her younger years, Ms. Grace had her select few classes with Ms. Stephanie as her teacher. When time came for the studio owner to retire and Stephanie moving to the collegiate level of dance, Grace wanted to continue her dance and began dancing at Creative Arts Academy. In 2015, she started at Artistry In Motion Dance Company at the age of 12. Grace has trained in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary and pointe. Grace competed on both the AIMDC competition team and her high school dance team in Platte City. While Grace pursues her degree in nursing at William Jewell, she is extremely excited to join the AIMDC family again now as a staff member. She is so happy to share her passion with the students! |
